The Green House
In 2007, I proposed a regular column in Boulevard that focused on homes and ecological issues. “The Green House” offered innovative ideas, lots of quick tips, and a plethora of resources to help reader green every room in the house and make eco-smart purchasing decisions. The column ultimately aimed to inspire and challenge readers to not only think more ecologically, but to turn those ideas into action and make it a part of their lifestyle.
Over the years, “The Green House” covered many diverse topics, from sustainable building and renovation products to offering a backyard sanctuary for wild animals to the importance of kids having unstructured free play in nature.
- “Flora for fauna”, published in the March/April 2009 issue
- “The nature deficit deflected”, published in the May/June 2009 issue
- “These new tax programs can help save money AND energy”, published in the July/August 2009 issue
